My Story
I have to admit, I am a candle fanatic. Every time I walked in the store, I would buy candles! I love for my house to smell good at all times. I had candles everywhere! One Christmas, I lost power for 6 days due to a bad ice storm. My kids went to their grandparents, but I was hard headed and stayed home. I burned every candle I had in the house, including all the ones I had wrapped for Christmas presents. I had a smoky grey hue near my ceiling. I never thought anything about it since I was snuggled in warm,furry blankets and comforters. I was good. I didn't realize I was slowly poisoning myself with the lead wicks and the formaldehyde some candles have. I broke out with big red welts all over my face. (Very painful and embarrassing). Lesson learned! This was Dec '09. Two months later, I was working at the hospital and walked by a pt's room. The scent emanating from her room stopped me in my tracks. I visited with her for a few minutes, found out what I needed to know and went to gathering up a Scentsy order with my coworkers!! I was hooked from that moment on! I signed up with her 2 days later!! (Feb '10) Scentsy has given me plenty of opportunity and incentives to help me grow my business and to also travel. I've been able to go to Charlotte, NC and Hilton Head, SC for Spring Sprints. I've been to Dallas ,Texas, Las Vegas, and Indianapolis for our conventions. I flew to Whistler, BC for a 5 day vacation I earned in June 2013! Scentsy has made all this possible for me. I am still just as excited about my Scentsy business today as I was the first day I started....actually more so! I have built a great team and I also have a great group of Scentsy sisters that I consider part of my family! I love doing our Scentsy events and traveling with them! It's great fun and best of all....we get to share our passion for Scentsy!
